George Tyler Hansen as Joe
Tuc Watkins as Tom

Plot Summary:

A middle-American coming-of-age tale about two teenage boys--brainy nerd Joe and big man on campus Tom--who take a camping trip together that reveals secrets both have buried deep. Joe is insecure, introverted and desperate for a friend who will help him escape his rigidly Baptist family, and Tom is nursing an ego bruised by an absent father who turned out to be more of a liar than the hero his son needed him to be. When Tom takes a dangerous leap of faith into the campground waters, timid Joe must tap unknown reserves of strength to save his friend from certain death.

Tuc won the 1992 Dramalogue Award for Acting for his role as Tom in "Boy's Play."
